#3 Chizakaya

Headed to restaurant #3, Chizakaya, a Japanese pub in the northside of Chicago. The food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the pork belly topped with a slow poached egg. We started off with puffed pig ears and pork meatballs with a yolk on top of it; skewers of sweet sausage, which reminded me of Filipino logonisa, and baby octapus; entrees included pork belly with a slow poached egg and scallops; ended with taro rice pudding, which was quite tasty. I also ordered the house ramen just to see how it'd taste, unfortunately, it was not hot, just luke warm. Overall, the experience was ok. I know the menu changes and I hope to try new dishes when I come back.
